Some retailers, without naming names, have extremely margin requirements for the goods they carry. This essentially means that there’s no way you’re going to be getting a good deal. Buying directly from chumby or through price-centric retail outlets probably better ensures that the price you pay will get you more product value, i.e., not absorbed by channel margin. Those blonde wood pedestals and corner mall locations don’t come cheap you know! :^)
That may partially explain the demise of Sharper Image. Physical stores are a bit archaic, anyways.
Still, I wouldn’t mind seeing some out in a store, even if it’s as far away as Japan. :)
p.s. The other day someone asked me about the chumby logo on my shirt. :) I love trying to explain chumby to the non-savvy tech consumer market. I finally settled on small internet TV or smart alarm clock.

Congrats!
If I guess correctly how many chumbys can fit inside said van, do I win a million dollars? ;)
As soon as we see chumbys along side high end alarm clocks in Brookstone I’ll know it’s really hit.

Ugh, darn it, Chumby! You’re making me want another chumby and I live in a teeny apartment! I don’t even know where I’d put it!
